Travessera de Gracia Apartment
Barcelona, Spain
Located in a typical corner of Barcelona's Eixample, the apartment has spectacular views of the Sagrada Familia, the sea and the new towers of Diagonal Mar, and above all, a very good orientation. The original distribution corresponded to the typical housing typology in a corner flat in l'Eixample, with several rooms on the main façade, and others lined up around the inner courtyard.

The project seeks to transform the original distribution by opening up to the light, and therefore freeing up the facade space. By creating two consecutive strips of public use parallel to the façade, and clarifying the organization of the courtyard rooms while rethinking the hallway, light and views become the real protagonists of the apartment. The services are all organized in a cube finished in black slate, that acts as a joint between public and private spaces.
